Housing Adaptation Grant

You may need a stairlift as getting around your house is not as easy as it once was but you are worried about the cost. If this is the case, the housing adaption grant (known as the Mobility Aid Grants Scheme) might be the way to pay for the stairlift services you need.

The Mobility Aids Grant Scheme provides grants for works designed to address mobility problems in the home. This includes the the purchase and installation of a curved or straight stairlift. The scheme is primarily for older people, but people with a disability can also apply.

When you apply for the Mobility Aids Grant Scheme, you are awarded up to €6000 towards the cost of your stairlift. upWARDs Lifts help property owners in Cork and Munster complete housing adaptations and we will install stairlifts that have been approved as part of this grant.
