Reconditioned Straight Stairlifts

As part of our stairlift services in Cork and Munster, a reconditioned or second hand stairlift can be sourced depending on your type of stairs. All stairlifts supplied by upWARDs Lifts will come with a 1 warranty and a guaranteed 24 hour call out.


Reconditioned stairlifts are generally not suitable for curved staircases as the rail is designed for the original set of stairs. Re-cutting and bending a rail to suit another staircase can be a dangerous practice. In rare cases, some stairlifts can be moved providing the properties/steps are identical.


Should you purchase or be gifted a stairlift from elsewhere, we can install this providing it is up to standard. As with all purchases, please be buyer aware. We have come across many stairlifts that are highly unsuitable and dangerous for the chosen flight of stairs. Housing Adaptation Grant

You may need a stairlift as getting around your house is not as easy as it once was but you are worried about the cost. If this is the case, the Mobility Aid Grants Scheme might be the way to pay for the stairlift services you need.

The Mobility Aids Grant Scheme provides grants for works designed to address mobility problems in the home. This includes the the purchase and installation of a stairlift. The scheme is primarily for older people, but people with a disability can also apply.
